    Notes:

    Konrad served on a mine sweeper in the North Atlantic Ocean during World War II. He married Margarete in the Stadtkirche in Bayreuth. He learned his trade as a baker, drove a delivery truck for Mönch Ford in Bayreuth, and since 1961, worked aas a delivery truck driver for the Holtz printing firm in Bayreuth. He died of an apparent heart attack while fighting a house fire in Aurora, Adams County, Colorado, United States of America. He was cremated, and memorial services were held on 10 July 1989 at the Aurora Chase Mortuary, Aurora, Arapahoe County, Colorado.

    EULOGY KONRAD BAUER (1927 - 1989) Konrad Bauer was born on 7 January 1927 in Neustädtlein am Forst, Bavaria, Germany. He attended school at Neustädtlein and completed trade school at Bayreuth where he learned his trade as ad War II, he answered his country's calling and served faithfully on a mine sweeper in the North Atlantic Ocean. He met Margarete Kunigunde Seyfferth in Bayreuth where they were married on 14 January 1950. Together, Konrad and Margarete overcame the hardships of post-war reconstruction and began the chore of building a family. Into their lives was born a daughter, Karin. Konrad was a good, hard working, man who supported his family by working as a baker, and since 1961, as a delivery truck driver for the Holtz printing firm. In the summer of 1989, Konrad and Margargete were visiting their daughter Karin and her family in Aurora, Colorado. Konrad especially enjoyed visiting with his beloved grand-daughter Stephanie. During this well-deserved vacation, Konrad spotted a fire at a neighbor's house. After sounding the alarm, he rushed to put out the fire and to save the house. While fighting the fire, he was suddenly and tragically taken from us. A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who loved life and those around him, he was always helpful. He died as he lived --- helping others. Goodbye, Vati. May you at last rest in peace.

    KONRAD BAUER (1927 - 1989) Konrad Bauer war am 7 Januar 1927 in Neeustädtlein am Forst, Deutschland geboren. Er hat in Neustädtlein die Schule besucht. In Bayreuth hat er dann seine Lehre als Bäcker abgeschloßen. Im zweiten Welt Krieg hatte er als Minensucher im Nord Atlantic gedient. In Bayreuth lernte er, Margarete Seyfferth kennen und am 14 Januar 1950 haben sie dann geheiratet. Im selben Jahr wurde auch Tochter Karin geboren. Konrad Bauer war ein guter, schwer arbeitender Mann, der für seine Familie als Bäcker, und seit 1961, als Kraftfahrer für eine Druckerei, sorgte. Am 26 Juni 1989, Konrad und seine frau Margargete kamen von Deutschland nach Aurora um ihre Tochter Karin und Familie zubesuchen. Konrad war besonderes froh endlich seine einzige und geliebte Enkelin Stephanie wieederzusehen. Am Freitag den 7. Juli hat er dann ein Feuer im Garten des Nachbarhauses entdeckt. Nachdem er Alarm geschlagen hatte fing er an das Feuer zulöschen. Ein paar Minuten später fiehl er Bewustlos zusammen und ist später im Krankenhauaus gestorben. Konrad Bauer war ein beliebter Mann, Vater und Grossvater. Er liebte das Leben und die Menschen. Er war immer Hilfesbereit Er ist gestorben wie er gelebt hatte --- Andere Menschen zuhelfen. Auf Weidersehen Lieber Vati. Schlaf ruhig in Frieden.

    Konrad's cremains were transferred from Stadthof to Südfriedhof, Bayreuth, Oberfranken, Germany.
