    MULLANY SERVICES WILL BE SUNDAY

    Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Mullany, the mother of Wiley Maynard of Clay City, will be held Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in the Easley-Padgett Funeral Home at Clay City, with the Rev. Herman McGill in charge. Interment will be in the Clay City cemetery.

    Mrs. Mullany died Thursday at a Detroit hospital. The body will arrive in Flora tomorrow afternoon at 1:42 p.m., and removed to Clay City for services.

    Pearl was married four times and had 2 children by 2 different marriages.

    1st marriage was to Jack Maynard (aka Robert Walter Maynard) 22 April 1914 in Clay County, Arkansas. At the time, Pearl was a resident of Success, Clay County, Arkansas and Jack a resident of Advance, Stoddard County, Missouri. Since Pearl was only 15 years of age, her father, I. F. Bethel gave permission for the marriage. (FamilySearch). One son, Wiley Frances born to this union.

    2nd marriage was to Louis Arthur Williams on 14 Sept 1920 in Bell City, Stoddard County, Mo. This marriage ended in divorce. Daughter, Madge, was born abt 1923, listed as age 7 in 1930 census. Madge married Fred Arthur Silence on January 18, 1941 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan and then divorced on July 29, 1947. Madge's second marriage was to Ewich/EnochStafford on January 19, 1948 in Detriot, Wayne County, Michigan. Madge's marriages, divorce, and parent's names are listed on Madge's marriage records (Ancestry).

    3rd marriage was to Addison Johnson, April 22, 1933 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. Divorced August 29, 1938 in Wayne County, Michigan. Record on Ancestry indicates she was the daughter of Isaiah F. Bethell and Mary A. Enlow.

    4th marriage was to Richard Mullany on September 19, 1942 in Henry, Ohio. (Record available on Ancestry.) Her marriage application lists surnames of 2 of her 3 previous marriages (Maynard and Williams), and she states she was only previously married twice. This marriage record list Pearl's parents as Frances Bethell and M. Enlow. Pearl's residence at the time was listed as Napoleon, Ohio and Richard's was listed as Detroit, Michigan.

    Pearl married Maynard, Robert Walter 'Jack' on 22 Apr 1914 in Clay County, Arkansas. Robert was born in 1887; died in 1917. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
