Because of Court House fire in Georgetown, KY., in the 1830's no marriage records surviveded. 1830 Federal Census Scott Co., KY. page 164 listed as Clarke Cannon. 1832 they are living in Blue River Twp., Hancock Co., IN., near her mother "Sally" Sarah Munson Adams, brothers Isaac and Lewis Adams. Edgar Co., IL., for Clarkson Cannon to Sarah Cunningham 4 July 1848 Marriage Book A.
Melinda Adams Cannon had an older brother James Adams that moved to Edgar Co., IL. around 1833 from Scott Co., KY. There is the off chance Melinda Adams Cannon might have died in Edgar Co., IL., and buried in same cemetery as Clarkson Cannon since he died just a few years later than she in 1852.(not proven)

In 1846 people died of Congestive Fever, in 1847
there were many deaths from Smallpox in the county. She died around 1846-1847 and it could have been from one of these diseases.
Congestive Fever was old medical term for Malaria.
We know Melinda Adams Cannon alive up till 1845 with name on above land deed.
