    Notes:

    Lillian Duff, beloved wife of Albert H. Duff, passed away last Sunday morning, after an illness of many months. Every attention that loving: hands could give helped make her last days less painful.

    Mrs. Duff's health has been failing for nearly two years, she having been under treatment from prominent doctors In St. Louis, Vincennes and Olney, later going to Rochester for an operatlon at the hands of the famed Mayo brothers. During the last few months her suffering was Intense, but her cheerful way and patient disposition prevailed to the end.

    Mrs. Duff was prominent In church and social circles, as well as the Order of Eastern Star, of which organization she had been a faithful member for twenty-five years, having held every Important office In the lodge at different times. Mrs. Duff was forty-seven years of age and was loved by people of all ages among whom she lived.

    The sympathy of the entire community Is extended the bereaved husband, who has given his entire time during his wife's Illness to make her load easier to bear, and to the aged mother, who has given her last child.

    Funeral:
    The funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Episcopal church on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock and was one the largest funerals ever held in Clay City, many friends of the grief-stricken husband and his departed wife, belng unable to gain entrance to the church.

    The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Mrs. P. M. Brissenden and Mrs. Sherman Schock sang "In the Garden," and Mrs. Schock sang "Beautiful City of Light" as a solo. Rev. O. O. Maxfield paid tribute to the beautiful life which Mrs. Duff had lived. Interment was made in it he I. O. O. F. cemetery.

    Mary married Duff, Albert Harvey in 1894 in Clay County, Illinois. Albert (son of Duff, Nathaniel Harvey and Babbs, Sarah) was born on 16 Dec 1873 in Clay County, Illinois; died on 14 Jan 1935 in Flora, Clay County, Illinois; was buried on 16 Jan 1935 in Clay City Cemetery, Clay City, Clay County, Illinois.
