    Elaine Brown, 91, of Flora, IL died at 6:25 PM Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at Flora Rehab & Health Care Center in Flora, IL.

    She was born April 17, 1920 in Clay County, IL to Dick & Frankie (Rinehart) Johnson. She married William V. "Bill" Brown on March 27, 1939 in Louisville, KY. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1999.

    She was co-owner of Fairfield Produce along with her husband and was a member of First Baptist Church of Flora and the DFO Class and Lunch Bunch of the church.

    She is survived by children: Archie W. Brown, David C. Brown Bonnie, Sandra K. Haycock, Constance J. Brown, and Nancy S. Taylor; two sisters: Geneva DeMaire and Virginia Keyser; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers (Leo, Donald, Richard P., Gail and Bob Johnson), and four sisters (Dorothy Lowe, Floetta Lofton, Ivanelle Case and Audrey Broadwater).

    Funeral services were held at Frank & Bright Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Keele and Rev. Dick White officiating.

    Burial was in Floral Garden of Memories, Flora.

    Robert Paul Johnson, 83, passed away June 7, 2005, Mr. Johnson was born Feb. 6, 1922, in Louisville, IL, the son of Dick Henry and Frankie Rinehart Johnson. He married his wife ;Frances , in 1945.

    He was a U. S. Army World War II veteran with rank of Sergeant, and served with the paratroopers.

    Survivors include his wife; one son,John, one daughter,Linda,and two grandchildren Mary & Tamatha ; and eight great-grandchildren. And three sisters.

    Funeral services were held at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with burial in Maple Dale Cemetery with full military honors performed by the Olney Veterans Organizations.

    Geneva was born in Louisville, IL April 5, 1925 to Dick and Franke (Rinehart) Johnson. She married Charles William Hohlbauch in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1984. She married Eddie DeMaire in 1988 and he died in 2007.

    Geneva was a member of Clay City Senior Center, Eastern Star, Ladies Shrine Club of Carthage, MO. She was known for the wonderful jelly she made. When living in Lamar, MO, she won numerous first place ribbons at the county fairs.

    Surviving are Sons, Bob Hohlbauch and wife, Judy, Decatur, IL; Charles Hohlbauch and wife, Karen, Alton, IL. Daughters, Brenda (Hohlbauch) Ragan and Elizabeth (Hohlbauch) Hull and husband, Rod, Quenemo, KS. Sister, Virginia Kaiser of Ohio. Grandchildren, Jeff Hohlbauch, Leslie (Hohlbauch) Mills, Ron, Mike and Travis Ragan; Blake Strother and Amy Hull. 13 Great grandchildren, a Great Great Grandson, and a Great Great Granddaughter, Natalie, due anytime. Also several nieces and nephews.

    Preceding her in death are her Husbands, Parents, Brothers, Leo, Don, Gail Richard, Robert, Sisters, Dorothy Jennings, Floetta Lofton, Audrey Broadwater, Ivanell Case, Elaine Brown and Great Great Grandson, Alex Mills.

    Virginia Keyser

    Millersburg - Virginia Francis (Johnson) Keyser, age 94, of Millersburg, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, May 31, 2021 at Majora Lane Care Center.

    Virginia was born April 17, 1927 in Clay City, Illinois and was the daughter of Dick H. and Frankie (Rineheart) Johnson. She attended Welcome Church of Christ and was baptized as a young adult.

    Virginia retired in 1972 from Mansfield Plumbing Products in Big Prairie. She loved gardening and her favorite flower was a red mum. Virginia's favorite gospel hymns were Amazing Grace and How Great Thou Art. She also liked playing bingo with her friends at Majora Lane.

    She is survived by her children, Beverley Keyser Kleilein (Russ) and Becky Keyser Timpner (Wade); grandchildren Angie Keyser Adibe, Shelley Arnold Artrip, Marcus and Clay Timpner and Ashley Timpner Wilson; and several great-grandchildren.
    Preceding her in death were sons, James Keyser and Timothy Keyser; and her 11 brothers and sisters.
    A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 4th at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, Ohio with Pastor Clifford Beck officiating.

    In lieu of flowers, family suggest memorial contributions be made to the activities department at Majora Lane Care Center or to Crossroads Hospice.

    Notes:

    Travis Alan Ragan, 49, of Bowling Green, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022, Nashville, Tennessee. He was born on November 8, 1973, in Ottawa, Kansas.

    He spent most of his youth in Quenemo, Kansas with stops in Winchester, Kansas, Clay City, Illinois, Hutchinson, Kansas and Columbus, Mississippi.

    Travis was a hard worker, trying his hand at concrete and pavement work, welding, roofing and construction. He was a loving friend and a loving father, son and brother. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.

    Travis was preceded in death by a son, Trent William Millsap.

    Travis is survived by his parents; wife and son, daughter, his two brothers, several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

    Travis was cremated and a private family inurnment in Oak Hill Cemetery at Quenemo will take place at a later date.
