Bayler moved to their farm in 1947. Dorothy particularly enjoyed sewing and was a great bread maker. She also led a 4-H Club for many years and was a member of the First Christian Church in Fairfield. Dorothy married Bayler, John Delmar on 1 May 1938. After his discharge in 1967, George and Nancy remained in South Florida until retiring and moving to Flora in 2002. After 30+ years working in electrical supply sales, he retired from McDonald Electrical Distributors in 2002. George had been a charter member and trustee of the Village United Methodist Church in North Lauderdale, Florida, and after returning to Illinois in retirement, he and Nancy became members of Flora First United Methodist Church. George enjoyed working on computers, spending time gardening, and attending family reunions. Notes: Joyce graduated from DePaul Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis and started her career as a nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, MO. She later worked for Richland Memorial Hospital and Weber Clinic in Olney with a total of 40 years of service as a nurse. During her retirement she volunteered for the RMH Auxiliary. She took pride in her career as a nurse and was a resource for family during sickness, illness, and injury. Joyce enjoyed reading and making picture books of her family and trips to Florida.
