    Notes:

..The Colwell family lived near Bronson, Kans. until 1936 when they moved to Glasgow, Mont. The following year, they arrived in Yellow Jacket and Lois had lived there ever since, with the exception of the high school years, spent at Bronson High School and Durango High School. Lois also attended Fort Lewis College and received a "Colorado Special War Emergency Certificate for Teaching." She planned to begin teaching at Cahone the fall of 1944, but was deemed to young at the first semester and so, taught the second semester.
..On Feb. 16, 1946, she married Dale L. Ives and became a homemaker, helpmate and sewing expert, winning blue ribbons at the Grange State Sewing contests. She was also a 4-H leader for five years.
..In addition to her pride in gardening and canning, Lois loved to hunt, fish, ride horses and snowmobile. Snowmobiling became even more enjoyable when she and Dale built their cabin near Groundhog Lake.

Lois married Ives, Dale Lee on 15 Feb 1946. Dale (son of Ives, Emory Grant Sr. and Payne, Nell Irene) was born on 6 Dec 1925 in Telluride, San Miguel County, Colorado; died on 25 Jul 1995 in Groundhog Reservoir, Dolores County, Colorado; was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Yellow Jacket, Montezuma County, Colorado.
