Served as a Blacksmith (024) with Headquarters, 67th Ordnance Company (Ammunition) through the Leyte and Ryukyus campaigns. Earned The Good Conduct Medal, The American Campaign Medal, The Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 2 bronze battle stars, The Philippines Liberation Medal with 2 bronze stars and the WWII Victory Medal. Honorably discharged as a Technician 5th Grade on 17 December 1945 at Vaughan General Hospital in Hines, Illinois.
