    Grace Cooper, 73, Flora, died Monday al 3:35 a.m. in Clay County Hospital.

    Services will be in Sailor Springs Christian Church with Bro. Larry Schnautz presiding. Visitation will be in the Hosselton-Bookhout-Engelmeier Funeral Home in Clay City. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery.

    Mrs. Cooper was born Feb. 23, 1909, in Clay County, the daughter of Mike and Clestia (Rinehart) McKinney. She married Ira Hinkel and he died in 1962. She then married Joe Copper Oct. 19, 1969 and he
    survives.

    She was a member of the Sailor Springs Christian Church; and was retired from Flora International Shoe
    Co.

    Other survivors include a son, Bob Hinkel, Northlake; two step-sons, Harold Cooper, Flora; and Leon
    Cooper, Louisville; a brother, Jim McKinney, Sailor Springs; three sisters, Mrs. Norma Hildebrand, Mrs.
    Kathryn Jenkins, and Ellarea McKinney, all of Clay City; her mother, Celestia, Flora; and three grand-
    children.

    She was preceded in death by her father; a husband; and two brothers.

    Russell Mckinney born and raised on the farm outside Sailor Springs,married Ruby Ileen Rinehart on April 8th 1939 in St.Louis Mo. Russell called Ruby "susie'. They had 2 daughters Beverly S. and Judy F. Mckinney. Russell was the son of Mike Mckinney and Celestia McKinney of Sailor Springs. Russell was a brother to Ellorea, Grace, Katy, Jimmy and Norma. Russell worked for Pure Oil Company at the time of his death. Russell and Ruby lived in Bunnyville. He was bouncer when younger at the "Bloody Bucket" on week-ends between Clay City and Sailor Springs. Ruby is buried next to Elmer Thompson at Orchard Cemetery, Louisville, Illinois.

    Russell married Rinehart, Ruby Ileen 'Susie' on 8 Apr 1939 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri.     Norma C. Hildebrand, 67, Rural Route Clay City, died February 21, 1990 at Richland Memorial Hospital.

    She was born June 12, 1922 in Sailor Springs, the daughter of Mike and Celestia Rinehart McKinney. She married Carl Hildebrand February 13, 1939 in Sailor Springs. He died in 1986.

    She was a homemaker and Pixley Township clerk. She was a member of the Sailor Springs Christian church.

    Surviving are a son, Carl Hildebrand; two daughters, Linda Davis and Cindy Wyatt; a brother, Jim McKinney; two sisters, Ellarea McKinney and Katheryn Linderman; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

    She was prededed in death by her husband, parents, one grandson, one sister, and two brothers.

    Services were held at Hosselton Bookhout and Engelmeier Funeral Home in Clay City with burial in Smith Cemetery north of Clay City.

    Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.

    Norma married Hildebrand, Carl 'Rudy' on 13 Feb 1939.     Notes:

    Jimmie McKinney, 98, of Clay City, passed away Saturday, March 25 at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora.

    Jimmie was born June 10, 1924 in Clay City, IL, the son of Mike and Mary Celestia (Rinehart) McKinney. He married Lois Alma (Bissey) on March 26, 1945 in Piggott, AR, and she preceded him in death on June 1, 2007.

    Jimmie was extremely passionate about GMC, Massey-Ferguson, and the color red. He loved to build things with his hands. Jimmie did a lot of welding and could make anything.

    Jimmie never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. He was always willing to lend a hand whenever he could. Jimmie always had to have cornbread and warm milk throughout his nearly century-long life.

    Jimmie was a WWII Vet, and he was at Omaha Beach, Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge, and he served with General Patton's Third Army. After his service, he was still able to always be a contribution to society and have a positive outlook on life. He was truly a part of the greatest generation of Americans.

    Jimmie is survived by his three children; four Grandchildren; and nine Great Grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and all of his brothers and sisters.

    Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Clay City is in charge of arrangements. A Visitation for Jimmie will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Thursday, March 30 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Clay City, Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM following the Visitation.

    Interment will take place at Smith Cemetery, near Sailor Springs, IL.

    Full Military Rites will be performed at the Graveside to honor Jimmie's service to our Country.

    Memorials can be made to American Legion of Choice.

    Truck driver in the 996th Treadway Bridge Company, attached to the U.S. 3rd Army.

    Linda L. Ferguson, 62, of Xenia, died at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2002, at her home.

    A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 12, at the Frank and Bright Funeral Home, Flora.

    There will be no visitation.

    Mrs. Ferguson was born October 11, 1939 in Clay County, the daughter of Rudy Hilderbrand and Norma (McKinney) Hilderbrand.

    She married Robert Ferguson in November, 2000 in Bullhead City, AZ. He survives.

    Mrs. Ferguson was a homemaker and a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion Auxiliary.

    Survivors include her husband, Robert, of Xenia; one daughter, Candra Hilderbrand of Albuquerque, NM; one grandson, Clint Dale Hilderbrand; one brother, Carl Hilderbrand of Sailor Springs and one sister, Cinda Wyatt of Sailor Springs.

    She was preceded in death by her parents.

    Buried:
    Linda was cremated and her ashes remain with her family.
