    Notes:

    Hannah, daughter of John and Peggy Lindle, was born in Muskingum County, Ohio, April 14, 1844. In the tender years of childhood she was left an orphan. The home of a good and true friend, Harrison Taylor, was opened to this lonely child and she became as one of the family; moving to Illinois with this family when she was eight years of age, they settled in Wayne County near Johnsonville and for four-score years this community was her home. She saw this wild pioneer country transformed into its present state of development and always took an active interest in those things that stood for the betterment of the community in which she lived.

    "In young womanhood she was converted and united with the Milner General Baptist church, later she moved her membership to the Wesley Chapel M.E. church of which body she remained a faithful and consistent member until her death.
