Earned The Purple Heart and was otherwise eligible for The American Campaign Medal, The European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars and the WWII Victory Medal. Buried with honors at the Lorraine American Cemetery, St. Avold (Moselle), France. Honored also at the WWII Memorial in Flora, Illinois.
