    Military Service:
    Entered active service as a draftee on November 3, 1942 at Fort Sheridan Illinois. Selected for the Air Corps, completed basic training and qualified in the Military Occupational Specialty of Synthetic Trainer Operator. Served stateside with Squadron B, 2140th Army Air Force Base Unit, Pilot School, Smyrna Army Air Field, Tennessee. Earned The Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal and The WWII Victory Medal. Honorably discharged as a Sergeant on February 15, 1946 at The Separation Center, Camp Grant, Illinois.

    Son of Warren H. and L. Maxine (Harrison) Bailey. He married Sonja Williams on July 26, 1973, in Pekin, Ill. She survives in Washburn along with Daisy.

    Also surviving are two daughters, Tammy (Jim) Miller and Krista (Keith) Quick; a special daughter, Sandy Witty; and granddaughter, Kayle Witty; his grandchildren, Alissa, Brooke, Cody and Dustin; one brother, Gary W. (Mary) Bailey; a stepsister, Debbie Holzhauer; along with his two brothers-in-law, the Rev. Don (Mary Ann "Susie") Williams and the Rev. Bill (Mary Lou) Williams.

    His parents and his brother, Randall L. Bailey, preceded him in death.

    He was employed as a bartender at Plaza Lanes, Washington, working for 20 years at Ulrich Motors, Washburn, and he was employed at Lowpoint-Washburn High School District 21 as a janitor at the time of his death.

    He had served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

    Randall L. "R.B." Bailey, 48, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, at his Washington residence.

    Born May 9, 1950, in Tazewell County to Warren H. and L. Maxine Harrison Bailey, he married Anne Wilson on June 30, 1979, in Washington.

    Surviving are one son, Marshall; one daughter, Abbey Bailey; two brothers, Gary and Wally; and one stepsister, Debbie Holzhauer.

    His parents preceded him in death.

    He was a line worker at Caterpillar Inc. in Mossville.

    Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
