    GIBSONCITY - Theodore R. Chambliss, 93, of Gibson City died at 12:35 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 1, 2001) at the Ford County Nursing Home, Paxton.

    Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lamb Funeral Home, 303 N. Church St., Gibson City. The Rev. Rebecca Zelensky will officiate. Burial will be in Drummer Township Cemetery, Gibson City.

    Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

    GIBSON CITY - Theodore "Ted" R. Chambliss, 93, of Gibson City died at 12:35 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 1, 2001) at Ford County Nursing Home, Paxton.

    Evelyn Schnepper, 77, of Louisville, IL died at 1:15 PM Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Flora Rehab & Health Care Center in Flora, IL.

    She was born July 4, 1931 in Flora to William & Edith (Chambliss) Devore. She married William L. Schnepper in Flora and was a homemaker.

    She was a member of the Sailor Springs Christian Church and the Olney & Fairfield Coin Clubs. Evelyn was a hard worker and enjoyed yard work, gardening, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

    She is survived by her husband: William "Junior" Schnepper; children: Gary Schnepper & wife Linda, Danny Schnepper & wife Cathy, John Schnepper & wife Kris, Paul Schnepper & wife Regina, Glenn Schnepper & wife Linda, Barbara Milligan; eight grandsons: Scott, Chad, Ryan, Michael, Josh, William, Brian, Andrew; eight granddaughters: Emily, Josie, Jessie, Amanda, Sarah, Hanna, Abbey, Allison; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters: Ellen King and Clara Willis.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers (Harold, Robert, Glenn, Earl & Paul Devore), and a sister (Geneva Leathers).

    In accordance with Evelyn's wishes, private funeral services were accorded.

    Burial was in Dillman Cemetery, Sailor Springs. Frank & Bright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Memorials may be made to Clay County Hospice or Flora Rehab & Health Care Center Activity Fund and may be received at the funeral home.

    Ellen King, 77, of Flora 3:43 AM at Clay County Hospital in Flora, IL.

    Mrs. King was born on July 4, 1931 in Flora to William & Edith (Chambliss) Devore. She married Roy Junior King on April 19, 1947. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1983.

    Ellen was a member of Oak Street Southern Baptist Church. She was employed as an aide at Clay County Hospital for 15 years and had an in-home daycare for 16 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing rummy, going to Hawaii, was a huge Mel Tillis fan, and spending time with her grandchildren.

    She is survived by her children: Judy (David) Bryden, Linda (Bud) Martin, Debra (Carson) Casell, Pam (Jim Duff) King, and Steven (Susan Signall). Grandchildren surviving are Jennifer (Bryden) & Tom Shermer; Holli (Hilliard) and Adam Schremser; Meredith (Bryden) and Matt Music; Ryan (Amanda) Martin; Mason Duff; and Taylor King. Great-grandchildren surviving are Alex & Ella Schremser and Nicklaus Martin. Other survivors include one sister: Clara Willis; special friends: Russell Hilliard, Kay Coble, Lillian Griffith, Kena Krutsinger, along with several nieces and nephews.

    Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, twin sister Evelyn Schnepper, sister Geneva Leathers, brothers: Harold (Ruby) Devore, Robert (Velma) Devore, Glenn Devore, Earl (Ann) Devore, and Paul Devore; parents-in-law: Roy and Della (Carrell) King.

    In keeping with Mrs. King's wishes, cremation was accorded.

    Graveside Services were held at Elmwood Cemetery in Flora.

    Memorials were made to the Clay County Hospital Auxiliary.
