    Etta M. Schrader-Pampe, of Herrin, formerly of Olney and Parkersburg, died at 3:25 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin.

    Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Dr. Brett Beasley officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg.

    Etta Mae Schrader-Pampe was born March 20, 1923, in Noble, the daughter of Luther and Caroline (Wynn) Kinkade. On November 24, 1945, she was united in marriage to Russell John Schrader. He preceded her in death July 12, 1979. She then wed August Pampe on September 12, 1980. He preceded her in death August 27, 1988.

    She is survived by daughters, Rita Diffenauer and husband, Robert of Energy, Retha Smith, of Manchester, Mo., and Rebecca Stevenson and husband, Steve of Nashville, Tenn; grandchildren, Robyn Wilson and husband, Grant, of West Frankfort, and Shannon Butts, of Tennessee; step-grandchild, Jeremy Stevenson, of Nashville, Tenn; great-grandchildren, Daphne Wilson and fiancé, Tyler Privvle, Darlene Wilson, Bob and Rachel Diffenauer and Dalton Butts; stepgreat-grandchild, J.J. Stevenson; sisters-in-law, Ruby Kinkade, of Franklin, Ind., and Nancy Kinkade, of Newburg; and several nieces and nephews.

    Etta was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Russell Schrader and August Pampe; brothers, Clayton, William and Don Kinkade; sister, Blanche Stover; son-in-law, Charles Smith; and grandsons, Robert, Christopher and Russell John Diffenauer.
    She was a veteran of the U.S. Women's Army Corps and a Charter Member of the Women's Military Service Memorial Monument in Washington, D.C. She was a member of Parkersburg United Methodist Church in Parkersburg and was attending Second Baptist Church in West Frankfort.

    She worked at International Shoe Company in Olney; Wee Walker Shoe Factory in Carlyle; as a Nurses Aide at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney; and Home Health Agency in Nashville, Tenn. Etta loved to quilt and crochet and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and loved college basketball.
