    Mrs. Ruth Marie Wilson, 82, Dies at Flora Nursing Home

    Mrs. Ruth Marie Wilson, 82, of Johnsonville, died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, at the Flora Pavilion Nursing Home.

    She had worked as a clerk at the Otis Wilson store in Johnsonville.

    FUNERAL SATURDAY
    Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne with Bro. Bob Greene officiating and burial in Johnsonville Cemetery. Visitation at Hosselton Funeral Home will be 6 to 8 Friday evening.

    She was born at Flora Aug. 22, 1918, the daughter of Ora C. and Laura M. Bethel McQueen. On Oct. 31, 1937, she was married to Eber O. Wilson.

    She was a lifetime member of the Flora American Legion Auxillary, the Flora VFW Auxilliary, a lifetime member of the DAV, a charter and lifetime member of the Flora Eagles and was a member of the Johnsonville United Methodist Church.

    Preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers and four sisters.

    THE SURVIVORS
    Surviving are her husband, Eber; a sister-in-law, Bernita Barnfield of Cisne; special friends, Lloyd and Vera Clements of Johnsonville; and several nieces and nephews.

    Memorials may be made to the Johnsonville United Methodist Church.

    Notes:

    John Clifford McQueen, formerly of Flora, Illinois died of a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the head in Odessa, Texas on December 3, 1957.

    His Texas death certificate states he lived in Odessa, Texas about a year at the time of his death and that he was employed in the oil field.

    His survivors were, his wife, Betty Anne, daughter, Darla Jean, mother, May McQueen, all Flora, Illinois residents; sisters Mrs. Ruth Wilson, Johnsonville, IL; Mrs. Zoe Thomason, Keenes, IL.; Mrs. Olive Mitchener and Miss Pauline McQueen, both of St. Louis; and a brother, Gerald St. Louis.
