    Georgia Lou (Iffert) Klingler, 92, of Olney, formerly of Wendelin, died Friday, November 27, 2021 in Olney.

    Georgia was born May 31,1929 in Clay County, the daughter of Rosalia "Sally" (Iffert) Rudolphi. She married Lawrence Klingler on January 24, 1953, and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2004.

    Georgia received her Nursing Diploma from St. Anne's School of Nursing in Chicago. She worked as a surgical nurse at St. Mary's in East St. Louis until she married, when she and Lawrence made their home on the farm in Passport.

    She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin, where she was an organist and choir director for many years. In 2009, she became an Associate for the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ. Georgia was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing for many people especially making wedding attire. She also enjoyed volunteering for the American Cancer Society and worked as a school nurse part time as needed.

    Georgia is survived by five sons, a daughter, daughter-in-law, 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, mother, Sally, son Kenneth, grandson, Jay, and great grandchildren, Reese and Joshua; Siblings, Angela Richard and Michael Rudolphi; Infant siblings, George, Henry, and Susan Rudolphi; She was also preceded in death by her Aunt, Sister Josephine, who was more like a sister to her.

    Interment will follow the mass at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Wendelin.

    Georgia married Klingler, Lawrence Peter on 24 Jan 1953. Lawrence (son of Klingler, George and Schmitt, Wilhelmina) was born on 20 Jul 1923 in Clay County, Illinois; died on 9 Jun 2004 in Burgin Manor Nursing Home, Olney, Richland County, Illinois; was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Wendelin, Clay County, Illinois.
