    Gladys Mae (Morgan) Beidleman White, 98, of Olney, formerly of Noble, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Burgin Manor in Olney.

    Gladys Mae was born April 28, 1918 in Douglas County, Illinois, the daughter of Floyd and Ethel Irene (McDade) Morgan.

    She married Forrest Beidleman on March 22, 1938. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1984.

    She later married James White, who also precedes her in death.

    Gladys Mae and her husband, Forrest, owned and operated Beidleman Art Craft in Noble for many years. Gladys Mae enjoyed fishing alongside her husband. She loved animals of all kinds. She also enjoyed crafting items for family and friends. Gladys Mae took pleasure in genealogy, tracing the Beidleman and Morgan family history for generations. Gladys Mae loved her family. She was the second mother to her younger siblings.

    She is survived by her sisters, Margaret Miller of West Liberty, IL, Doris Rosemary Spillman and husband Jim of Olney, Anna Lucille Eblin and husband Bob of Mt. Vernon, IL, and Wilma Cummins of Olney, as well as many nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Forrest Beidleman & James White, son, Gary William Beidleman, two brothers, Louis Morgan and George B. Morgan, two sisters, Virgie Morgan and Maude Straley, and three nephews.

    Maude Marie Straley, 93, of Olney passed away on May 9, 2014 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

    Mrs. Straley was born on December 23, 1920 in Noble, Illinois, the daughter of Floyd W. Morgan and Ethel Irene McDade. She married Gleason Straley in 1941 and he preceded her in death in August of 2000.

    She was from the Dundas Community, Olney, and resided at Burgin Manor. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Olney.

    She is survived by her son, Richard L. Straley of Dayton OH; three grandchildren, Kenneth R. Straley (Nicole) of Missoula, Montana; Daryn R. Straley (Kathy) of Athens, Ohio and Tami D. Straley-Holmes (Marlow) of Hurrican, Utah; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Gladys (Mae) Beidleman-White of Olney, Margaret Miller (Lee) of West Liberty, Rosemary Spillman (James) of Olney, Anna Ablin (Harold) of Mt. Vernon, IL and Wilma Cummins of Olney; and several nieces & nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Louis A. Morgan and George B. Morgan, and sister, Vergie Ann Morgan.

    Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with burial in North Freedom Cemetery.

    Louis A. Morgan Sr., 87, of Olney, passed away at 8:46 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney after an extended illness.

    Mr. Morgan was born April 1, 1923, in Richland County, the son of Floyd W. and Ethel (McDade) Morgan.

    He was a member of North Freedom Baptist Church for many years and was an Honorary member of American Legion. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, was an avid Cardinals baseball fan, and had a great love and fondness for the many people who worked under him at AMF where he worked for 29 years. He proudly served his country in the Army and was a World War II veteran.

    Mr. Morgan married Shirley Mae Leach on February 15, 1975, and she survives along with his sons, Louis A. Morgan Jr. and wife Janice, of Carbondale, George David Morgan, of Carterville, and Gary Wayne Morgan, of Carbondale; daughters, Georgia Flannery, of Collinsville, Sue Gleason, of Belleville, and Pam Summerfield and husband Mike, of West Salem; stepchildren, Dave Ellison, of Urbana, Kay Wagner, of Austin, Texas, Danny Ellison, of Ganera, Texas, Nora Stout and husband Glenn, of Noble, Vicky Kennedy and Kirk Burnett, of Texas, Frank Ellison, of Ste. Marie, Brenda Ginder and husband Jerry, of Olney, and Steve Ellison and wife Becky, of Claremont; sisters, Margaret Miller and husband Tommie, of West Liberty, Rose Spillman and husband Jim, of Olney, Wilma Cummins and husband Gary, of Olney, Ann Eblin and husband Bob, of Mt. Vernon, Gladys White, of Olney, and Maude Straley, of Olney.

    He was much loved by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd W. and Ethel Morgan, brother, George Morgan, and an infant sister.

    George B. Morgan, 58, Rt. 1, Dundas, died Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

    Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Summers Funeral Home with the Rev. Herman Gumble officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

    Memorials may be in the form of gifts to the American Cancer Society.

    Born in Noble Feb. 25, 1926, he was the son of Floyd and Ethel McDade Morgan.

    He had been engaged in construction work.

    A veteran of the Navy during World War II, he was a member of the Olney American Legion Post No. 30 and Aeirie No. 2549 FOE.

    Survivors include three sons, Bernard Lee Morgan and his
    wife Karlette of Casey, David Neal Morgan and his wife Ruth of Olney, and Michale Kent Morgan of Salem; a daughter, Mrs. Brad (Debra) Daugherty of West Union; a brother, Louis Morgan of Olney; six sisters, Mrs. Gladys Biedelemann of Noble, Mrs. Maude Straley of Olney, Mrs. Margaret Miller of West Liberty, Mrs. Rose Spillman of Olney, Mrs. Anna Eblin of Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Wilma Cummins of Olney; and six grandchildren, Brent, Amy and Haley Morgan of Casey, Shawn Morgan of Olney, and Brandon and Aaron Daugherty of West Union.

    He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister in infancy.
