    FAIRFIELD, Ill. -- James J. Beeson, 81, died Friday afternoon at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Marion.

    He was a retired farmer, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of AmVets.

    Surviving are his wife, Juanita (Milner)
    ; three daughters, . . . ; four sons, . . . ; two sisters, . . . ; 23 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hosselton Funeral Home Cisne Chapel, with burial in Oak Valley Cemetery in Geff, with military rites.

    Friends may call from noon to service time at the funeral home.

    PHILLIP L. "BUTCH" BEESON, 56 of Cisne, IL was killed at 12:30PM Tuesday, July 27, 2010 in a train car accident at the railroad crossing at E. Holiday Road at Keenes, IL.

    Butch was born June 28, 1954 at Fairfield, IL to James J. and Juanita R. (Milner) Beeson. He married Candice Grimes July 19, 1975 at Fairfield, IL.

    Butch was a rural mail carrier at Wayne City and Keenes. He served in the Army in Germany during the Vietnam Era.

    Butch was a member of the American Legion in Cisne, the National Rural Carriers Association and was of the Christian faith.

    Surviving Butch are his wife Candice Beeson of Cisne, IL; two daughters Melanie Benoit (& her husband Jeremiah) of Carterville, IL and Katie Beeson of Cisne, IL; one son James W. Beeson (& his wife Laura) of Fairfield, IL; mother-in-law Mary Lou Grimes of Cisne, IL; three sisters Rosalee Pearce (& her husband Ronald) of Rinard, IL; Katy Auvil (& her husband Sonny) of Flora, IL and Nina Stanford (& her husband Mike) of Newton, IL; three brothers James A. Beeson (& his wife Betty) of Geff, IL; Donald Beeson (& his wife Sandy) of Fairfield, IL; and Jerry Beeson (& his wife Brenda) of Fairfield, IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    Preceding him in death were his parents.

    Funeral services for Butch Beeson will be Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010 at 3:00PM at Hosselton Funeral Home. Friends may call Sunday 1:00PM until the time of service at 3:00PM.
