  Vergil C. Bufkin, 79, Aptos, Ca., and formerly of Olney and Clay City, died Monday morning in his home. Services will be at the Norman Family Mortuary in Soquel, Ca. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Santp Cruz, Ca. Mr. Bufkin was born in Sailor Springs, Oct. 10, 1902, the son of Louie and Daisy (Harris) Bufkin. He married Edith Abbott Aug. 5, 1928 and she survives. He was a building contractor in Olney and Clay City before retiring to California. Other survivors include a son, Vergil Patrick, Grass Valley, Ca.; two daughters, Mrs. W.R. (Donna) Thrun, Grass Valley; and Mrs. Jerry (Diane) Finders, Sunnyvale, Ca.; a brother, Lannes Bufkin, Lancaster, Ca.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
