  Born to Leroy and Christina (Laypath) Rowland, Elizabeth married Harold Dean Powell on October 10, 1953 in Rock Springs, WY. He died September 28, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Patrick Powell, Nevada Powell, and Charles Powell; and one brother, Chris Rowland. Surviving are four sons, Carl (Cathy) Powell, Jerry (Ronda Kay) Powell, Roger (Brenda) Powell and Lowell (Ruthie) Powell; two daughters, Nema (Scott) Joesting and Mary Lair; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Patrick Rowland; and three sisters, Ruth (Tom) Micklich, Mary Hutchinson and Nema (Larry) Stricker. A homemaker, Elizabeth enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and helping out friends and neighbors. She had volunteered at area nursing homes. She was a remarkable mother and grandmother.
