Text | William H. Harvel, 79 William H. "Bill" Harvel, 79, of Noble, died at 10:10 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2005, at his residence. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Noble. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.m. Saturday at Glenwood Church in rural Noble with Reverend Bill Rennels officiating. Burial with full military rites will be in Hanna Cemetery in rural Noble. Mr. Harvel was born May 7, 1926, in Cambridge, the son of Elmer and Edna (Williams) Harvel. He married Norma June Hasler on October 24, 1947. She preceded him in death on July 24, 2000. He married Anna Colburn on June 2, 2001. She survives. He was retired from Union Oil, had worked for Farm Service and was a bus driver for more than 22 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion. He was a member of Glenwood Church in rural Noble. Mr. Harvel is survived by his wife, Anna Harvel, of Noble; a son, Larry Harvel, of Clay City; three daughters, Juddy Cook, of New Boston, Texas, Sally Runyon and her husband, Tom, of Springfield, and Glenda Dant and her husband, Bob, of Washington, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Marjorie Glenn and her husband, Larry, of Mt. Sterling; a stepson, Ronald Edwards and his wife, Liz, of Cape Coral, Fla.; four brothers, Les Harvel, of Johnson City, Raymond Harvel, of Georgia, Carl Harvel, of Herrin, and Bob Harvel, of Herrin; four sisters, Waldine Rice, Sue Ranchino and Bernita Cross, all of Johnson City, and Helen Jenkins, of Pittsburgh; and 11 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parent, his first wife, two brothers, Dale and Joe, and a sister, Virginia. Memorials may be go to Glenwood Church in rural Noble. | |
