Harold B. Higgason, 81, of Xenia, Ill., passed away at 5:05 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2008 at St. Anthonys Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Ill. Harold was born October 16, 1926 in Xenia, Ill., the son of Herschel and Gladys (Logan) Higgason. On August 4, 1951 he married Helen A. Wyman at Xenia, Ill. She preceded him in death on March 20, 1991. During his life he worked for area farmers and ran a repair shop in Xenia. Harold enjoyed repairing bicycles and riding his bicycle everyday. Mr. Higgason is survived by his two sisters, Helen Wyman of Flora, Ill., and Vivian Cantrell and husband Harold of Xenia, Ill. He is also survived by five nieces, four nephews, and faithful friends and neighbors, Dale and Velma Jones of Xeniaia, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother (Loyde), and brother-in-law (Orse Wyman). Services for Harold B. Higgason were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Visitation was after 1 p.m. until time of services on Sunday at the funeral home. Interment was in the Oak Mound Cemetery in Xenia, Ill. Memorials may be made to the Oak Mound Cemetery Maintenance Fund.
