Xenia, Ill. - Vivian Cantrell, 83, of Xenia passed away at 6 p.m. Sunday at Good Samaritan RHC in Mount Vernon Vivian was the daughter of Herschel and Gladys (Logan) Higgason, born Oct. 14, 1924 in Clay County. She married Dorse Wyman in 1942 in Louisville, and he preceded her in death. She later wed Harold R. Boscoe Cantrell in 1970 in Xenia. She was employed at Spartan Manufacturing for 17 years. Survivors include her husband Harold Boscoe Cantrell of Xenia, daughter Phyllis Hilll and husband Ken of Riverdale, Mich., and stepchildren Walter Cantrell and wife Barbara of Plano, Ill., Rita Byrm of Oakland City, Ind., and Charlotte Cummins and husband Scott of Port St. John, Fla. Also surviving are her sister Helen Wyman of Flora, grandchildren Todd Hill and wife Joanne of Harriman, Tenn., Tracy Hill and wife Robin of Columbia, Mo., and Stacy Hill and wife Ilia of Thompson Station, Tenn., as well as nine step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one stepp-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Lloyd and Harold. Visiting hours will be from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Frank and Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Private family services will follow. Burial will be at Oak Mound Cemetery in Xenia. |
