| Text | Mrs. Elizabeth Patterson, daughter of William and La Vine Lewis Patterson was born July 1, 1863 in Harroldsburg, Kentucky in Mercer Co. She was united in marriage to Alfred Bug in 1886. To this union was born one child, Martha. In December 1892 she was united in marriage to Pete Patterson. To this union was born six children; Eph, Walter, Earl, Virgil, Clarence and Bertha. Martha, Walter and Clarence preceded her in death. She has ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, all of whom are living. She leaves two brothers, Sam Patterson of Fornfelt, Mo., and George Patterson of Greencastle, Ind. Three sisters, Mrs.E. C. Trainer, Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Ratchel Cox and Mrs. Margaret Plummer, both of Greencastle, Ind., and a host of relatives and friends. She passed away April 6, 1945, at age of 81 years, 9 months and 4 days. She was a member of the Noble Christian Church. Pete Patterson Family My note: This was typed off exactly as it appeared in the clipping Aunt Edna loaned me. They have Grandpa Buggs name spelled wrong and Edna said the date she married him must be wrong too. It is probably the date he passed away. It is listed as 1886 and Grandma Martha was born Nov. 29, 1884. She was not quite 2 yrs old when Grandpa Bugg died so they had to have been married in 1882. Leona | |
