Text | Edward E. Wilder, 74 Edward E. Wilder, 74, of Clay City, died at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at his home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, April 23, 2004, at the Clay City Christian Church. Burial will be at Clay City Cemeteetery. Brothers Carson Root and John Trinkle will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, April 22, and at 9 a.m. on Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Clay County Cancer Support Group or Clay County Hospice. Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Wilder was born May 31, 1929 in St. Louis, MO, son of Ralph Wilder and Anna Summers. He married Loretta Pettyjohn on March 17, 1948. He was a retired Oil Field Worker for Shakespeare Oil Company in Salem. He was a member of the Clay City Christian Church and the Clay County Cancer Support Group. Survivors include mother-in-law Nellie Baker of Clay City; daughters Phyllis Cox and husband Gary of Flora, and Lynn Burrrrett and husband Martin of Noble; sons Danny Wilder and wife Dee of Goodman, MO, Larry Wilder of Plano, TX, and Paul Wilder of Noble. Also surviving are three sisters, Lucy Helm and husband Dr. John of Olney, Bertha Johns of Santa Paula, CA, and Bessie Cooper and husband R. V. of Paragould, AR; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, and his parents. | |
